a picture on a shared board waits for you. a link can carry pictures, and a picture is an address. opening one used to tell that site you were reading, and the site was chosen by whoever sent the link, not by you. now it shows the description and a button, and you decide.

on a phone you can scroll again. a finger on a card used to drag the card instead of moving the page, which left no way down a tall board. the card body scrolls now and the tape is what drags.

the pdf is gone and the picture is better. it was one image on one page with text nobody could select, and the file it wrote had a fault that combed the text into stripes. png only, cropped to what is actually on the board.

a board fits in a link. the whole board rides in the address, with nothing kept on any server. whoever opens it looks around without touching their own, and keeps it if they want it.

a string between two notes. open a card, tie it to another, and the line follows both of them around the board.

undo. the board used to say "there is no undo" in three places. now ctrl+z takes back a delete, a move, a colour, even "delete everything", thirty steps deep.

a backup that writes itself. pick a file once and the board saves there on its own, on your disk, with nothing signing in anywhere.

find on the board. press the slash key and type. what does not match fades instead of leaving, so the board stays where you built it.

more than one board. one for work, one for the rest. the backup holds all of them in a single file.

it works with no connection, and it installs. add it to your phone and it opens on a train.

paste straight onto the board. a picture link or a block of text becomes a note where your pointer is.

two clicks to open a card. brushing past a note used to open it and unfold every control. one tap still opens on a phone, where nothing brushes past.

tuno.place. the board moved in, as a site that builds to plain files with no server behind it.

download instead of print. the print dialog is gone. files land in your downloads.

the fonts are ours. nothing is fetched from another company to draw this page, which makes the line at the top of the board true rather than nearly true.
